Laser cladding of copper alloys

Getting closer with DED (Directed Energy Deposition) and a new copper alloy!

We have successfully implemented our first steps in laser cladding with a thermally hardenable low-alloyed copper alloy.

Why copper?

Copper impresses with its properties:

• High electrical conductivity – ideal for electric motors
• High thermal conductivity – perfect for heat engineering
• Excellent sliding properties – suitable for plain bearings

The laser cladding process also offers decisive advantages:

• Precision
• Economic efficiency
